Training

  • For 1 on 1 coaching and Continuous Training, you can expect an initial email with your client intake form and associated waivers to be delivered to your email address immediately. From there, Continuous Training plans should be available within 24 hours while 1 on 1 coaching plans will take around 24 hours from completion of your client intake form. If purchasing a pre-made program through TrainHeroic, you will have instant access through the app.Description text goes here

  • When logging your weights for each exercise make sure to follow these guidelines. For any dumbbell work, whether 1 or 2 DB’s, write down the number on the DB. For example - doing a bench press with 40 pound DB’s would be logged as 40 whether it is a single arm bench press or double arm bench press.

    When logging anything with a barbell, add the weight of the barbell to the weight you add. Most barbells are 45 pounds. For example, a barbell deadlift with a 45 pound plate on each side = 135 pounds (45 + 45 + 45 = 135).

    When logging weights on a cable machine, write down the .lbs you see on the machine but be advised all cable machines are different and 40 pounds on 1 machine does not equal 40 pounds on another.

    Outside of that, the app will ask you for specific output metrics such as calories, time, etc. Those should be straightforward. Sometimes we miss an exercise and a bodyweight exercise is asking for weight. No need to put your bodyweight, simply log that as 0. Description text goes here

  • With pre-made plans, you have lifetime access but will only ever have that plan. You can add on different plans but if it is 4 weeks in length, after 4 weeks, it won’t show up. For continuous training, you will always have a plan and the plan will change on a routine schedule (4-6 weeks). Our continuous training plans also offer a community and people to compete with so long as multiple people are on the same plan. With pre-made plans, it is yours and yours alone.   • Ideally, all members of DB3 fitness will have commercial gym access. This ensures you will have the equipment you will need. This is especially important for pre-made plans and continuous training as those are not customizable and are set to commercial gyms.

    With 1 on 1 coaching, you do not need any equipment if you do not want. That does however limit what we can do but our 1 on 1 coaching will modify everything to the equipment you do have. If you travel a lot or have a home gym with limited equipment that is fine! We may request you buy things like a TRX, sandbags, or kettlebells but that is in no way a requirement. Item description

  • Each video recorded by DB3 is fully public on YouTube. Each video starts with 3-4 reps of the exercise. For many people, this is all you need to know what the exercise is and how to do it. But, if you find you need a little more guidance, the second half of each video provides an in depth description of what and how you should feel throughout as well as pointers to get the most out of the exercise. They are designed to be exactly what you need no matter your training level. Item description

  • Readiness is an overview of how “ready” you are for training that day. You will take a readiness test before every workout through the TH app. It asks question about sleep, mood, soreness, energy, and stress to identify how ready you are for the session. It will first establish a baseline and from there offer insights into how your readiness is progressing. Don’t fret if some says your readiness score is low, that is normal. We still need to perform on the days we don’t feel 100%, but it is good to track how we do and how our readiness impacts our training.Item description

  • We are constantly adding to our library but the videos do take time. Sometimes it is quicker to add videos from other trusted sources on youtube. With that said, with each passing week, you should find more and more videos featuring DB3 coaches! If you have questions on a particular exercise in which the video is not as helpful. simply message in app and we will offer guidance. Item description

  • First and foremost, stop doing the exercise that day if you feel like you are putting yourself at risk of injury by continuing. Ideally, if you are in an environment that allows it, snap a quick video of you completing the exercise in question and send it to us via the Train Heroic app. From there we will be able to offer feedback on what may work to remedy the situation.   • Of course not! We truly believe there is an athlete in all of us an that training like an athlete can help people do more than they ever thought possible, but it can be intimidating if you have limited training experience. We try our hardest to meet everyone where they are. We have crafted programs for beginners to pros and can always accommodate any needed requests. Item description

Changes

  • If your schedule changes week to week or even day to day, the ideal program for you is our 1 on 1 coaching as we will completely customize your program week after week. Continuous training can be moved around but that is done by you so if you expect a lot of variety in your day to day and week to week, we recommend at least starting on the 1 on 1 coaching to learn the ropes, and then adjusting your program from there.

  • Yes, you can always change but there are some rules. When moving up (continuous training —> 1 on 1 coaching) we can handle that immediately. If moving down (1 on 1 coaching —> continuous training), we need a 30 day notice as we treat this is a cancellation.

  • Although not encouraged, yes you can swap out any exercise with something else from our library. We recommend letting us know when you do swap and swapping with something similar to ensure program consistency.

  • Train Heroic allows you to swap entire days. If you find that a shorter or longer workout would work better for you on a given day, simply navigate to the training session you want to do, hit start session, and the app will ask if you want to move it to the current day. hit yes, and you will be able to do that session.

Billing/MISC

  • All of our billing is taken care of on third party sites. For continuous training and 1 on 1 coaching, Stripe handles our monthly billing. For pre-made programs, Train Heroic uses PayPal to complete your purchase.

  • We require a 30 day cancellation notice. As a small business, we like to make sure we don’t spend money that we don’t have! So we require 30 days notice if you are looking to either cancel or switch down to a different plan. A simple written notice via email, text message, or TrainHeroic message is all that we need.

  • There are a few different ways to contact the DB3 team. The preferred method of contact would be messaging directly in the Train Heroic app. Second would be sending an email to chris@db3fitness.com. Those two methods of contact will garner the fastest response times.

  • For pre-made programs, you will have lifelong access. For continuous training plans and 1 on 1 coaching, you will have access for as long as you are a subscriber. The reason for this is that TrainHeroic charges DB3 per user. So once an active user is done training with us, we will archive your profile.

  • At the moment, there is nothing set in stone. But if you are someone who is supporting DB3 by spreading the word, please let us know when you send someone our way! We have been known to knock down monthly pricing depending on referrals.
